Police IG ignores Senate, Angry Senators kick out His Reps

The new inspector general of police, Suleiman Abba is setting himself up for a serious battle with the men in the national assembly. Few days after he shunned the House of Reps' summon, the IGP has also ignore the summon by the Senate that he must appear on Tuesday to defend his orders to his men.

Consequently, the Senate angrily kicked out the representatives of the Police IG at its hearing today and they insisted that he must appear in person.

The IGP had delegated a Deputy Inspector General of police (DIG) to represent him at the briefing before the senators but the DIG was asked to leave the senate chamber by the angry lawmakers.

Will the IGP do the needful or is he ready for a showdown with the lawmakers? We are watching!
